RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE PROJECT
The stories’ texts.
Don’t you believe that a layer can write tales for kids? Let’s get to know each other. I am Valentina. I got education in the sphere of law and psychology, by coincidence I am a scientific editor of the serious professional publication. And of course I write the tales’ texts as well stinging the necklace of words on the plot’s thread. In this project I am, first of all, responsible for the following task: not to express my author’s point of view but to solve the strayed literary task.
I read a lot: from classics to historical novels. I like good literary language when you are following the line and can’t tear yourself away from it. I like cinema as well, but more intellectual, non-commercial. In music I prefer jazz and lounge music. I like paintings, especially impressionists, I m fond of architecture.
I would like to write that I go in for sports, but it is not true. I didn’t succeed in it. But it is the opposite situation with dancing. I like to be close to nature, to visit new places, to roam about narrow streets of the cities breathing the history. And to take picts of all these things searching for the right angle and illumination. I write stories as well. They seem to be similar to art house movies. I hope to publish my own book one day.
Writing tales awakes something light, tender and soft in me, something from the late childhood.
WHOM DID YOU DREAM YOU WANTED TO BECOME WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD
I wanted to become a ballet dancer first (as it is so much beautiful and for girls – the tutu and the pointes). I think ballet dancers reminded me the princesses.
Then I wanted to become an actress but soon I understood that my inherent sincerity prevented me from it.
When I grew up a bit I planned to become a doctor – I wanted to help people. But in the youth the choice was between a journalist (I always wrote the compositions very well) and a layer. The layer won as I had a sharp sense of justice.
FAVOURITE CHILDREN’S TALES/STORIES
I liked Mark Twain with his wonderful sense of humor («The adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn»), books about adventures, courage knights and waiting for them in the high towers pretty princesses.
WHAT WAS YOUR FONDEST MEMORY OF CHILDHOOD
I was reading a lot, collecting the stamps and doing macramé. I remember I spinned a vase full of fruits (I was surprised to manage to do that task as I am a choleric). I liked construction sets, strange as it may seem. But maybe most of all I liked to spend time being out. The most terrible punishment was when parents were saying – “you will not go out”. I was the boss of the neighborhood band of kids, and when I was not out for a long time they were shouting loudly under the window wanting me to go out soon.
