RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE PROJECT
Currently serving as the Executive Producer of Polus Books, I founded this company with my business partners Andrei Dudko, and Sasha Denisov. I’m responsible for managing accounting and legal issues, as well as marketing and distribution in the United States. Polus Books LLC, downloadable children’s books for tablets and mobile devices, was established in 2012, and I composed the music and recorded English narrations in my studio.
I have been writing and producing music for the past 25 years, as I own and operate two professional recording studios utilized by premiere record labels, producers, and film directors. From rap hits to sports documentaries, my passion is entertainment and I have maintained working relationships with industry veterans across media, music and movies.
I enjoy meeting and hanging out with friends and colleagues, traveling for a retreat in upstate New York to converse and debrief about everything – except work. Between skiing, hiking and traveling, I remain busy enjoying the outdoors as much as I do creating software
WHOM DID YOU DREAM YOU WANTED TO BECOME WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD
Growing up with a grandfather who owned a vineyard, I enjoyed helping him run the business. He often told me how to care for plants, or what to do to grow a good grape. I liked helping my grandfather because I loved nature and vast natural regions. Of course, children’s dreams are not always realized. Now I am immersed in design, programming, producing – and I really love my work. In order to be exceptional it’s not always enough just to love a job, but to also do it well.
FAVOURITE CHILDREN’S TALES/STORIES
Much like the fairytale “Hans In Luck”, I have experienced many career paths in life only to find myself free of worry in the world of technology and creativity. In the story, Hans exchanges goods with the people he meets along his path. He trades gold for a horse, and then the horse for a cow. By the end of the story he loses his last item only to realize it was the burden of carrying things that was keeping him from success, not his lack of money or resources. It’s the ultimate story of riches to rags, and about discovering what lights your passion instead of finding material things and hoping they make you happy.
WHAT WAS YOUR FONDEST MEMORY OF CHILDHOOD
My favorite things to do as a child were to roam throughout forests with my friends, play football and explore the creek. I thought I was going to be a vineyard owner, but then computers came along, and that’s when I found the thing I was both interested in, and very, very good at. Life is not just about smelling the roses, it’s about creating them, too.
